Special Fridays
Every Friday evening we open our doors to people with special needs and their families — a joyful night of singing, dancing, crafts, and friendship.
Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.
Matthew 25:40
Special Fridays is a weekly evening for people with special needs — led by a trained specialist and supported by church volunteers who love what they do. There is singing, dancing, crafts, and activities that our guests absolutely love coming back for.
Families are always welcome to stay and relax over a coffee while their loved ones are in good hands. Or, if your family member is more independent, feel free to take the evening for yourselves — we've got it covered.
From the moment you walk in, Special Fridays is designed to feel warm, safe, and full of life — for guests and families alike.
Every Friday is full of energy — music, movement, creative activities, and the kind of genuine fun that you can feel the moment you walk through the door. Our guests keep coming back because they love it.
Parents and family members are welcome to stay and relax — there's a comfortable space and coffee available while your loved one enjoys the evening. If you prefer an evening out, you're free to go. They're in good hands.
Our program is led every week by a trained special-needs specialist, supported by a dedicated team of church volunteers. Safety, dignity, and joy are at the heart of everything we do.
Some of our Special Fridays guests who are able take on a volunteer role at our weekday coffee shop — serving coffee, welcoming visitors, and playing a real part in the life of the church community. It is one of our favourite things to see.
